Smith and Wesson M&P 22
I just picked up this pistol last week and put 300 rounds through it the first shooting session. What an awesome little 22. Out of 300 rounds I had one FTE which is to be expected with a 22 pistol shooting bulk ammo. Trigger is excellent. Sights are right on. I'm very happy with the purchase and if anyone is looking for a full size 22 trainer I would highly suggest looking at the M&P 22.

I'm very happy with mine as well. Just wish it didn't have that stupid safety on the side.

Good choice. I like mine too, and with an inexpensive adaptor I can run it with my suppressor. No problems with the can on it.

Re: Smith and Wesson M&P 22
So it sounds like a winner as a full size 22 trainer? How do you guys like the rear sight? I have heard some complaints since it deviates from the normal 3 dot setup on most service pistols.
I think I might pick this up for as a birthday present for myself.

Great pistol and very accurate.I have put several hundred rounds through it with very few hiccups.
Good practice for my full size M&Ps,but much less expensive to shoot.

I've had my eyes on one for a while as an economical range pistol/trainer. I just put a deposit down on an M&P 22 pistol at Tanner's. I hope they get one in before my birthday in a few weeks.

Re: Smith and Wesson M&P 22
Unfortunately I have had quite a few issues with mine. It fails to eject on a regular basis. It seems to regularly have a short stroke. It will either not eject, or it will eject but not feed the next round. I have tried a number of different ammunition brands, but no luck.
What type of ammo are you all using?
