Re: 9mm ammo avail?
Shopping online I suggest using http://www.gunbot.net/ammo/9mm/ Wait for your price range and jump on it. You can enable the beep, minimize the page and do whatever you do on a computer and when you hear the beep sound something new came up. Just make sure you have sound enabled and volume up all the way. I scored between Wed and Fri 500 rounds of .357 magnum target ammo for 40 cents a round, 1000 rounds of 9 mm ammo 27 cents a round, and 500 rounds of .40 caliber target ammo for 40 cents a round. Not pre panic pricing, but fair pricing for current condition nonetheless. If you have an off day during the week I suggest you spend the day relaxing and wait for beep sounds
Good luck in your search.

Awesome, thanks for the bot! Picked up some .45 at a great price.
Any thoughts on TAP?

Re: 9mm ammo avail?
As noted, consider reloading.
Assuming you re-use your brass and pick up others brass the current cost is as follows:
1000 primers $32.00
Pound of powder $22.00 (will load about 1500 rounds)
Lead bullets 124 gr $68.00 per thousand
That gives you the price per round:
Brass free
primer 3.2 cents
Powder 1.5 cents
Bullet 6.8 cents
Total 11.5 cents
That equals $115.00 for a case of 1000.
initial investment varies, but if you shoot a lot it pays for itself pretty quickly.
it's also fun an educational.

Re: 9mm ammo avail?
I am making .38 Special at 11.6 cents per round
9mm at 11.3 cents
.45ACP at 12.7 cents per round.
And best of all, I don't worry about running out

Re: 9mm ammo avail?
If you dont mind paying 70 cents a round, the Army/Navy store in Whitehall had a TON of 9mm ammo as of last week (as well as other calibers).
I refuse to be gouged by them, and based on all the quantity, so do others.

Re: 9mm ammo avail?
Once i get more space I'm going to look into reloading, unless the ammo shortage gets better

Re: 9mm ammo avail?
Was down in VA and ended up going to a store call Superior Pawn and Guns. Basically appeared to be a gun store w/ range that dabled in pawning. Got boxes of 250 rnds at the rediculous price of $130/bx (52 cents/rnd)... needless to say i only bought one box so i had something to shoot at the range that week, then used gunbot and bought in bulk on backorder for like 28 cents/rnd. gunbot is an amazing tool.

Re: 9mm ammo avail?
Surplus City had a good bit of 9mm on Saturday and according to their facebook page should still have it in stock today.
