Law Abiding Citizens of America, Protection Limitation Waiver
Dear friends,
I wanted to let you know about a new petition I created on We the People, a new feature on WhiteHouse.gov, and ask for your support. Will you add your name to mine? If this petition gets 100,000 signatures by February 18, 2013, the White House will review it and respond!
We the People allows anyone to create and sign petitions asking the Obama Administration to take action on a range of issues. If a petition gets enough support, the Obama Administration will issue an official response.
You can view and sign the petition here: http://wh.gov/mVWM

Signed. Don't you just love how the white house has raised the threshold for answering petitions from 25k to 100k?I think Obama is upset by the petitions that have been reaching the threshold for being answered!Makes my day.
Don't leave home without it!

Protection Limitation Waiver?
A waiver is the voluntary relinquishment or surrender of some known right or privilege.
Who is supposed to waiver their rights here? Is this a sell out to future generations?
Give us a waiver on gun laws but I dont see anything there protecting my kids rights or future generation.
My childrens constitutional rights are non negotiable.

I already have a waiver, it's called the Bill of Rights. Am I missing something?

Re: Law Abiding Citizens of America, Protection Limitation Waiver
You are not missing anything
The idea is to get the required amount of signatures for a Presidential response
How do you think he would respond to 100,000 people demanding they NOT be included in any type of ban.
Is it going to hurt you in any way to let our elected officials know how you feel about being limited in the way you are able to defend you and your Family?
The administration keeps saying that a BAN is what we the people want.
Well I don't want a ban and I don't think you do either .
If you don't want to speak out that's your right
If you do not ......you have already thrown in the towel.
What everThe TRUTH may sometimes feel awkward to those who have never heard it.

My response is bolded
Another silly petition isn't going to change anything with this administration, I don't want to say it is naive to think it would but... . In fact in the time you took to make up this petition and post it here you probably could have called 5-6 people that matter like your U.S Rep, Senator, or your PA Rep and Senator. You could have called several pro 2A corporations to thank them for supporting us, or called corporations that cowered and abandoned us to inform them they forever lost a customer.
You might as well have petitioned Santa Claus or should I say the devil.
Again I refuse to ask permission to exercise my 2nd Amendment right.Last edited by 7998; January 22nd, 2013 at 04:18 PM.

Re: Law Abiding Citizens of America, Protection Limitation Waiver
It doesn't make my day. To my knowledge we've gotten several petitions over the former 25k threshold to be addressed, yet he still doesn't even recognize those. I'm supposed to magically believe he or his cronies will change their minds at 100k all the sudden.
I signed, I don't believe we'll see results though.Home brewing; because Jeeps and ammunition aren't cheap. WILL WORK FOR AMMO & FIREARMS!
