Re: What New York -really- wanted to push for ...
I've always said we're our own sound island in a sea of madness here in PA.
Surrounded on all sides by states with some of the strictest gun laws in the country, New York, JOISEY, and Maryland. Ohio is not as bad, but still has some weird restrictions.
This does not surprise me, in fact, most things don't anymore.
It's their fault they voted for the wrong people.

Why not just ban guns? The ban on Marijuana and other street drugs is working so well in New York City and other New York towns that the gun control lobby should have proposed it for firearms.
Oh, that's right.... the ban on drugs has created profit that youth will chase, creating a market situation where kids kill one another. The "solution" to this problem is to give the Drug Gangs a new item to sell - Illegal guns.
I'm really surprised that Mr. Obama did not ask Mr. Cuomo to hold off on New York's proposed laws. What Mr. Cuomo did was demonstrate to every gun owner in the United States what Mr. Obama REALLY WANTS TO DO to gun owners. These two Ideologues have enraged the gun owning community.
Meanwhile employment stinks, eleven percent of the US coal fired capacity is going offline by next summer, we're still fighting over seas and the Budget Deficit is out of control
What does Emperor Obama Nero do? He fiddles about "assault weapons".
Sometimes I swear I believe that Barack Hussein Obama was created by the Republican Party to destroy the Democratic Party.

Not to mention firing up the tour bus to campaign against firearms while fiscal problems are still looming. I bet you if someone takes a shot at him it'll be on this tour.

That stuff is not much worse than what they actually passed. So, did that guy vote for the "compromise" bill as part of his "hard fight?"

Its called distration, while everyone is fighting over gun control and the the offical state news agencys, NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, are spreading stories of carnage in the street caused by republicans and their assualt weapons, no one is asking about the fiscal problems.
As far as NY state goes, not surprised as the state is run by NYC liberals (think Bloomburg and company) and they are all anti 2A. But now that other states see it was done they will follow suit. Obama and the DNC know that if the Congress pushes for gun control they will lose seats in the next election, but if the states do it, they can claim ignorance.
Mark my words, ALL part of the master plan of the socialist president and his cronies.RIP -The US constitution.

Cloward-Piven strategy!
^^^Link^^^ with several tactics highlighted. Tell me those have not occurred."The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."
