    Default question on a dealer sample

    I found a class III post 86 dealer sample for sale. Is a dealer the only one who can possess this or can it be transferred to me with a tax stamp?

    As far as I know a post 86 is Leo department only with letterhead from the dept to purchase.

    A post 86 dealer sample is just that ,a dealer sample. It is for "show and tell" to possible buyers, govement and law envorcement. It can be sold to a "class 3" dealer if the dealer has a letter from goverment or law enforcement agency to be used as a "dealer sample"

    Got it. I figured that was the case since the price was only 1000 bucks. Sterling pistol with fore grip very cool piece.Probably 3-5000 on the retail market.
