    Default New or Renew?

I currently have my LTCF issued by Beaver County in 2008. It will expire this year and I will need to apply for a new permit.
In 2009 I moved from Beaver County and am now a resident of Allegheny County.
When I submit my application would I be considered a renewal since I already have a LTCF or would I be a new applicant since my existing LTCF was issued by a neighboring county?

It is most likely irrelevant, the process is identical between new and renewal.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

I agree with Crum, but my 2c says to use renew as you already have an LTCF

I had a similar situation and figured it was a renewal since I already had my ltcf from another county. They sent it back to me and said since I was new to the county it was considered new and not a renewal.

I think the only difference between the 2 in the process is the required id you have to send with them.

That is what happened to me as well when I moved from Clearfield to Jefferson county, even though I had a Clearfield LTCF.

In the end it doesn't matter because the process and fees are the same. The only difference is what box is check on the form and license itself.
