Default Best hi cap handgun trigger?

I don't have a high capacity pistol, and I thought I would take the panic opportunity to buy one. Anyway I went to a big gunshop and tried the glock and springfield xdm. The triggers were too tough for me, I am a SW revolver, 1911 trigger kind of guy. Is there and hi cap pistol with a match like trigger? I was thinking about the browning highpower.

A BHP. can be tuned to a 1911 like trigger, normaly this takes removal of the mag. safety. Para-Ord. and several others make 1911s with good triggers is slicked.

For my money, the best DAO trigger in a 1911 style pistol is the 9mm Para Ord 18.9 LDA Ltd. Out of the box, it's the lightest and smoothest of any DAO out there. Plus, the 18 rd. magazine give you the high capacity you need.

The LDA is a good trigger but coming from s.a.1911s it was a little hard to get used to. We have a LDA and a S.S.18-9, common mags. plus with the purchase of a .38Super barrel a tri-fecta. Cool thing about our Para's is that they are capable of just dropping in anouther barrel.

Agree, except BHP's trigger is horrible out of box. After some polish, removal of mag disconnect, new sear, then it canbe tuned like 1911 "like".

But nothing beats tuned 1911 trigger.

LDA by Para is great concept. But I have felt silky smooth on brand new LDA and gritty trigger on brand new LDA. I think they have inconsistant quality control...
(those were both made in Canada ones. I understand that they are built in USA now, and I'm not sure how they are now.
Are they even making LDA anymore?

You like two different style triggers. Which trigger are you asking about? DAO, SAO, or DA/SA. Personally, I think the Glock falls into none of the above.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Well I would like a quality SAO trigger or a DA/SA trigger like a SW or 1911. I actually forgot about the para ordnance. I have a warthog compact with a short double stack mag that holds 10. It has a quality 1911 trigger job.

I always like the 1935 highpower, so I was considering one. Back when I had no extra cash and very few guns I lusted over a Belgium HP with tangent sights. Naturally I never saw another when I had the money.

I am quite fond of the fulcrum ultimate trigger in Glocks. Its not the cheapest but it is sweet.

Thumbs up Re: Best hi cap handgun trigger?

My HK45 has a sweet SA trigger pull and a decent DA pull. Available in compact,
11 on tap with HK accuracy. I know 1911's well as I own both a Gold Cup and a Combat Commander. My HK is my fav now
Plus you can change trigger function as follows.
"Well-suited for personal defense use, the HK45C is available in, or can be converted to, a wide variety of variants that use different trigger firing modes, including double action/single action (DA/SA) and DAO (double action only). The DAO mode uses the unique Heckler & Koch LEM (Law Enforcement Modification) firing system, providing an enhanced double action trigger pull."
