looking for good gunsmith in pittsburgh that picks up the phone

Hi All,

having a lot of trouble finding a gunsmith in pittsburgh area for a 1911 trigger job. seems lots of the guys don't return calls or pickup their phones. any suggestions would be really appreciated. I would swap it out myself but last time i did it i wound up file off to much and having to start over 2x. i rather have a pro do it especially with my new baby.

There is Gans up near Uniontown who is suppose to be excellent. I've never used him but members on this board have raved about his work for years.

Have you tried Shooter's Bench? I have not used the smith specifically but he seemed approachable.

You'd most likely be better off trying to visit their shop and doing a face-to-face. One man gunsmith shops don't get paid while talking on the phone. Start a freindly relationship with your local gunsmith. IANAGS
