Default Adding rail to Ruger MKIII 22/45 LITE?

I am considering adding a light rail to my 22/45 LITE.

I was wondering if I have the barrel drilled and tapped if I could safely install a rail onto the barrel?

Is the aluminum sleeve hollow? Will it have enough "meat" for the screws to hold onto?

That's a sweet gun, I have been wanting one since they came out but I haven't put enough rounds through my Mark III to justify another .22 purchase just yet.

Anyway, I thought that the Lite, like the rest of the Ruger line up, came with pretapped barrel and the rail attachment? If you bought it new, you probably have everything you need all ready.
HAS THE WHOLE WORLD GONE CRAZY? AM I THE ONLY ONE HERE WHO GIVES A SH!T ABOUT THE RULES?

They come with a scope rail.

The lite only has a scope rail. It is not tapped for an accessory rail
