Default Where To Get Handguns in Berks?

Yeah, I'm the last to the party being a new shooter. I am just trying to get started. I am looking at Ruger SR9C, Sig Mosquito (for my wife to get started on) and Ruger P95. I don't know where to turn now. There seems to be none available, locally nor online. Everyone I call laughs almost, very frustrating.

Not 100% decided on these, but all come highly recommended to me. What do I do now, besides wait?

I know it would be a bit of a drive for you, but try Taylor's Trading Post in Adams County. Call and see if they have what you want in-stock. Anytime I have walked in there he has guns on top of guns. Last time I was in there was a couple weeks ago. http://www.taylorstradingpost.com/ . Good luck.

Drive to Cabelas, Pay the extra they charge and buy them. I would think twice about the Sig mosquito. I own one and they are real fussy about what ammo they will chamber and eject. Plus you have to grease the extractor pin or it will slip off the empty brass when firing leaving the case in the chamber.

I'll take that under consideration. If cabelas had them I would. That's one of my problems. Ugh! Then ammo and extra magazines, forget it! Better chance of hitting powerball.

Have you tried the Handgunner over in Topton? They've got a very good reputation.

I got a Ruger p89 I could sell you for $750. I would throw in a box of 9mm fmj for an extra $75. I also have a jennings .22 I could let go for $400. Got some .22 remmy thunderbolt from the late 90's for $20 a box.

J.K. Good luck, hope you find something soon.

From a female's point of view, may I suggest not get the Sig Mosquito! I got one this year and it gets dirty really quick and will start to malfunction. I clean it very well and can only get about 50 rounds before I start having issues. Even the guy next to me at the range said he got one and sent it back. I upgraded to the Smith & Wesson MP 9C and LOVE it. Shoots so much better! I still have the Sig, but realize that I can only do so much with it.

    All the best,
    -S
