Tons of regurgitated "facts" you hear spouted all over. I noticed that for each sting operation they commented that exactly after the operation violent gun crimes "went down significantly."

As this is coming from those with the viewpoint that "saving just one life is significant" well, you know what I'm getting at.

I'm also very skeptical that 2/3's of FFL's knowingly allow straw purchases. That's just seems outrageous because I've had instances where I take in a new buyer and ask a lot of questions that they wouldn't think of, and the FFL seemed uneasy about the transaction.

Now that I tend to buy all my firearms through a small handful of shops that isn't really an issue since they know I am not prohibited and have no purpose for committing some kind of straw purchase.
