Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
These are the companies that should be getting our business !!!
Cabela's Pulls Out As Prime Show Sponsor
Due to recent changes made by Reed Exhibitions regarding the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, Cabelas will no longer sponsor this years event. After careful consideration regarding Cabelas business practices, and the feelings of our customers, Cabelas will, unfortunately, not have a presence at the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show.

Lee & Tiffany Lakosky
Hey everyone, sitting in Detroit right now waiting to fly back home to Iowa! In response to the situation with the Eastern Sports and Outdoor show, we just heard of their decision to ban "black guns" from their show while at SHOT this past week in Las Vegas. Of course, like most of you, Tiffany and I are strong supporters of the NRA and our 2nd amendment and are very disappointed with their decision. Last night an e-mail was sent to us with a statement from the NSSF and quite frankly, we were surprised by their stance. But, to give them the benefit of the doubt, we have not yet had time to dig into this and hear all the facts. Therefore, we don't want to throw out a "knee jerk" statement before we do. Having said that, neither Tiffany or I can think of any excuse to give an inch to the people who are attempting to take away our rights. So, "officially" we will make a statement in the next couple of days but I can assure you right now, we WILL make the right decision.
God Bless

Bob J. Mercier
"I (Bob J. Mercier) have withdrawn from the ESOS show, because I side with the American people who have the constitutional right to bear arms, and to protect our freedom.
For the record, I was wrongfully accused of backing the ESOS when a supporter of the boycott, asked me if I was intending on showing up, in light of REED EXHIBITIONS statement banning certain guns and accessories, and with the fact that vendors that uphold our constitution were backing out. At the time, I had not heard anything about the show making any statement of any sort, and I inadvertently answered the email, with “who are you, and why are you asking me to boycott this show that I am a speaker at”. I should not have answered the email at that point. It was my mistake, and now I am being slammed on facebook for saying I would still be going. I did not have all the facts, and now I do. I have read everything that REEDS EXHIBITIONS has posted publically on this subject, and I strongly disapprove of their decision. I am a law abiding gun owner, and I will fight for my right to own guns as a legal law abiding citizen, until the day I die.
It took me a few days to see what the boycott was based on, and now I see it clearly. I have read the statement and I see it as an infringement on my right and your right to bear arms, and to sell legal firearms and accessories at a sports show.
I am not happy that I have been receiving hate mail for not taking a stand, or for not wanting to get involved, so I shut off my facebook page to prevent unwanted vulgar comments from being posted. I am a nice guy, and I deserve to be treated with respect just as you do.
By boycotting the ESOS for its stand against gun owners, and the rights of law abiding American citizens, selling guns at this show and other shows, I am standing up for my freedom, and the freedom of all Americans, who will stand up against actions such as this.
I regretfully need to apologize to the customers who were looking forward to meeting me at the Eastern Sports & Outdoor Show in 2013. I feel like I am letting them down. Due to the circumstances we are dealing with, I hope you understand why I am not going to be there.
I hope some good will come of this effort us vendors and EXPERT GUESTS are making. It was not fair for REEDS EXHIBITIONS to make changes to the overall event, without giving us vendors and speakers a choice to withdraw with no money owed, ahead of time. I have done what is right for me, by backing out today. Like it or not!

Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
Reed exhibitions is a UK based operation, they could care less about or constitutional rights whatsoever, the want to come in and make no waves and take our money overseas. I am glad to hear Bass Pro has backed out, there goes the 3d targets for the indoor shoots, what are you going to do know Reed?

Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
I suggest we all go to the retail locations of the vendors who withdrew from the Sports Show on February 2nd and spend our money there! They are the supporters of the 2nd Amendment, and we should show them our support of their constitutional stand on defensive weapons and modern sporting rifles!!

Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
Maybe a bunch of us should go down to the parking lot the day of the show to see how empty it is. I try not to be a vindictive person, but as far as I am concerned, those British pansies running the show should just go back to England where it is a gun free paradise and no one ever gets killed no matter what.

Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
Statement by Lee Lakosky
Lee and Tiffany Lakosky of The Crush TV show, made the tough decision to step out from the show’s lineup as well. Lakosky also talked with Deer and Deer Hunting today:
“This was a hard decision, not because of the show and what they did, but that we won’t have the opportunity to talk and shake hands with the fans that will be at the show. But, we can’t support a show that doesn’t completely support the Second Amendment.”
Lee and Tiffany were at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas when they heard the news of the press release, but because of obvious time restrictions, weren’t able to act immediately. “Right away when we heard, we figured we’d pull out of the show, but wanted to make sure we knew all the facts first. As soon as we learned what was happening, we made the choice not to go.”
Lakosky also commented on the press release from the National Shooting Sports Foundation:
“I don’t know why the NSSF would promote this ban just to please one vendor out of twelve hundred,” he said. “Anyone who believes this isn’t a big deal is wrong. It is a big deal because this is where it starts. There’s a reason for the Second Amendment and we all need to band together and stand behind it. ”

Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
Show this company some love, they de facto support reed.
http://www.facebook.com/pages/wwwwhi...123?ref=stream
In response to the recent turmoil surrounding the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show I have a few thoughts.
Reed Exhibitors has chosen to ban certain weapons and accessories from the E.S.O.S. this year due to recent events. This is clearly an infringement on our Second Amendment rights. I’m not sure why a British company would think that Americans would support this kind of decision any more now then in the 1700s. It didn’t work out well for them last time, and judging by the backlash and major exhibitors pulling out, Americans haven’t changed all that much in the last two hundred years. I would love to boycott this show, and recommend that every other American due the same, but I see a problem.
Many, if not most, of the exhibitors at this show are small American companies. Companies that rely on revenue generated at a consumer show this size to make their year. These are companies that not only employ Americans directly, but also employ Americans in all kinds of other fields. Machine shops make the parts for the products we buy at this show; printers, trucking companies, and advertising agencies could all feel the repercussions if these companies don’t survive. If these companies don’t grow they won’t need new construction, or accountants. The lawyers will get some bankruptcy work, but all the new document work dries up. Boycotting the show would affect Americans from all walks of life. We will do more to hurt America if we boycott than to help.
I see that many of our television celebrities have already pulled out of the show in support of the Second Amendment, but won’t that hurt many of their sponsors? And I respect the positions of the superstores that have pulled out, but by boycotting the show I expect that their catalogs will be thinner next year. Most of my favorite hunting products are made by small American businesses; I like having those choices, and I try to support those companies.
I think Reed Exhibitors has put us in an uncomfortable situation, but boycotting the E.S.O.S. this year isn’t the answer. I suggest we should all attend, and show our support for the Second Amendment by exercising our First Amendment. Let Reed Exhibitors know how disgusted you are. Tell them we won’t stand for this, and we won’t ever do business with them again. Give these retailers a year to find another way to make their money, rather pulling the rug out from under them after they already invested in retail space at this show.
If you agree, please repost this. We only have two weeks.
