Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
Ok , here is the letter i am sending out to as many vendors as i can .
Dear Sirs,
As a sportsman and a hunter I urge you to rethink your participation in this year’s Eastern Sports Show. As you know they have enacted a ban on assault weapons being displayed or sold at their show as well as large capacity magazines. I believe it is our duty as law abiding citizens to stand up for our constitutional rights and the 2nd amendment. This is a “Sports Show”, does Reed Exhibitors believe owning/shooting any of the guns they have banned to not be a sport? This is your opportunity to stand with your fellow hunters/sportsmen and so say no to Reed Exhibitors. This is your opportunity to tell them they need to support the 2nd amendment. This is your opportunity to show your support by withdrawing from their so called “sports show”. I urge you to join us law abiding citizens and stand up to Reed exhibitors and join us in a boycott of their event!
Thank you for taking the time to read this,Last edited by KatesDad; January 20th, 2013 at 11:27 AM.

The Crush with Lee & Tiffany
Hey everyone, sitting in Detroit right now waiting to fly back home to Iowa! In response to the situation with the Eastern Sports and Outdoor show, we just heard of their decision to ban "black guns" from their show while at SHOT this past week in Las Vegas. Of course, like most of you, Tiffany and I are strong supporters of the NRA and our 2nd amendment and are very disappointed with their decisi...on. Last night an e-mail was sent to us with a statement from the NSSF and quite frankly, we were surprised by their stance. But, to give them the benefit of the doubt, we have not yet had time to dig into this and hear all the facts. Therefore, we don't want to throw out a "knee jerk" statement before we do. Having said that, neither Tiffany or I can think of any excuse to give an inch to the people who are attempting to take away our rights. So, "officially" we will make a statement in the next couple of days but I can assure you right now, we WILL make the right decision.
God Bless

Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
I do not but I have gone on the Faceboook accounts of those who have boycotted (and have FB accounts) and personally thanked them. Where applicable, I promised consumer support. For instance, I tried to buy the HuntHook app for my phone but I saw they have it pulled so they can get the next release out. I tried to go load up on reloading supplies from Cabelas but they have none. LOL I'm trying.
I will be buying my bowfishing gear from Lancaster archery and I want to buy some canning gear from that place that sells it. (forget the name but they are bookmarked)
Financial support goes a long way and if the stuff is a little more expensive than Wal-Mart then so be it. We really need to stick together."The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."

Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
You may want to modify your language to take away the incorrect term of "assault weapons". You will get the same effect without the emotional baggage if you just call the rifles what they are. For example:
As you know they have enacted a ban on displaying or selling AR/AK platform rifles and related accessoriesat their show as well as some magazines.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Re: No Tactical Weapons Allowed At Harrisburg Sport Show
With the obvious lack of any mental capacity shown by those legislators who want to ban guns "for the children", it won't be too long before hunting, in general, will be regarded as murder and outlawed as well. Those same jackasses who don't even contemplate the huge increase in violent crime due to the disarming of the innocent will have some ‘splaining to do when highway deaths rapidly increase due to animal strikes (or drivers losing control trying to avoid Bambi). Can you imagine a White Tail Deer stampede across I-90 outside Chicago?? I hope and pray that the Canadian Geese come to regard the fountain in front of King Cuomo's house as a primo rest stop and bathhouse, and poop everywhere . . . .

They're STILL advertising a Tactical section. Go to their web site (I know, you can sanitize your computer afterward), navigate to Show Information and View Floor Plan. When the popup completes, choose Search Products and look toward the bottom of the list. I don't know how many of those vendors are still coming. I contacted a few, and they all said that they would still come, but their booth displays all feature the "evil" black gun, so I told them to be prepared with alternative advertizing art or to be prepared to "black" out the offending parts.
