And again, you dig up an old thread, and THIS time you choose to try and start an OC v.s. CC debate. You will not find yourself popular here if you keep that up.

If you really MUST debate OC v.s. CC, you might want to check out these other threads where it's been beaten to death:

I'm not sure why people are jumping all over you for this post.

I agree that OC presents risk factors that are different from CC (although CC has risks also), and could thus be considered very dangerous to someone who does not want to accept those risk factors.

OC frequently does attract attention, and if someone does not want attention, then it is certainly unwanted attention.

If a person feels that the beneficial element of surprise provided by CC outweighs the benefits of deterrence and ease of draw associated with OC that is a personal decision. I don't think there is any scientific evidence that proves that one is better than the other. I believe that OC is tactically superior, but many professionals disagree.

And finally OCing does take some stones. If a person has the stones to admit that they don't have the 'ball bearings' to OC I can't justify discrediting that decision.

ETA: I guess he is banned... Well, it is likely that I missed some other posts of his that would make his statement more offensive/put things in better perspective... However, I stand by what I said in regard to the specific quote above.

IMO , the biggest " problem " with his post about this and this only was his statement of fact that OC is very dangerous . And your right , if you read some of the other stuff he ran around posting yesterday /day before , you'll quickly see what an idiot he was . His biggest mistake always seemed to be making statements instead of voicing opinions and making the distinction clear .
