What's the latest on the LTCF's?
I went to apply for my LTCF at Kutztown Borough Hall over 3 weeks ago now, and at the time the PICS system was down so I was given a receipt and was told it would be mailed to me. Still haven't seen anything in the mail yet.
Just wondering if anyone else in Berks County has been waiting for theirs and if so, for how long? I understand it might be a while and I'm being patient, just wondering if others have similar stories.

I applied at the airport substation December 26. I called on Monday, still on his desk, they are working on them. At the same time, I know someone who went to the Airport Monday and got in on the spot. I am patient, but getting impatient ha ha!

That's weird. I've never had a problem with mine either during original issue or renewal. The Sheriff is very pro-2a so I can't understand what is going on there. Rather than calling maybe you should try to stop by the office, it may be one of those things where they get too busy and forget.

Re: What's the latest on the LTCF's?
When I applied, the deputy stated I was approved, took my picture, and that was that. Didn't even think to ask when it was coming. After I thought about it, called the Berks County Sheriffs office and they confirmed the system had been down and they have a backlog of applications. Usually the get a few hundred a month, within the last month it is over 1000 from what I recall. He did say it was on his desk to process along with the others.

Re: What's the latest on the LTCF's?
I went into the Reading Airport Substation last month and was told the State System was down. I could wait if I wanted to but at that point the system had been down for 2 hours already so I opeted to come back.
I went back the following week and there were a bunch of people waiting. When I was able to get in and talk to the deputy, he told me that the State System was screwed up and every application was being kicked over to an operator for a manual check.
It took me almost an hour and a half but I walked out with my renewed license.
I wrote about it here:

Well, I have no luck then because I am still waiting. Don't want to bug them, I know it is on the processors desk, and I know I have nothing to hide so just a waiting game. Called them 1x this week, don't want it to get shuffled to the bottom.
