Default tactical night at pocono pistol every thursday

Just wanted to get the word out that tactical night at Pocono pistol has started and will be every Thursday from 6-8pm. The cost is $25. New courses of fire every week. Come out and have some fun and shoot.

You must make an appointment or show up an hour early to do the mandatory pre assessment skill test, which is drawing and shooting. The cost is $5. And you will be good to go for all classes after that.

Just trying to get more people involved not affiliated with them in any way.

I have gone to Pocono Pistol in the past. I have gone hesitantly every time. Pocono Pistol needs to really figure out a way to value and protect one's privacy by not having a book laying out on the counter with name address and phone number for all to see. There is no need to write this stuff down every time once you are in the system, other than for "someone else" to keep track of how much you're shooting. Sorry but I don't like having sensitive personal info on display.

$25 + $5? For $10 you can shoot most IDPA matches in the area.

Easton, Hellertown, Phillipsburg (if you're not afraid to cross the river), Scotia. Here is a website that lists lots of IDPA, USPSA and steel matches...

    http://www.nepaidpascores.net/

Easton has their first IDPA match of the year this Sunday, 3/24. It's a walk-on and details can be found at the above website. Come on out and have some fun.

I stay away from pocono pistol seen a few people treated poorly there I myself have been in there with my wife when she was wanting a XDM .45 and while I was browsing there overly overpriced wares the lady who knows what a person she has never met can and cannot shoot(I have a SAA clone in 45lc and the wifey shoots it just fine MY XD40 also) Calls me over and says she needs to do a background check on me since my wife is buying a gun and Im with her. The way I look at this is one of 2 things were going on here 1. They were under the impression of a straw purchase taking place for me which I not sure how that works given were married.
    2. They were trying to scam more money by running 2 background checks. Either way the lady was telling my wife she knows theres no way she could shoot a .45. So my wife left there pissed.Just my experience
