Training
I live and work in the Lancaster/Dauphin County area.
I'm looking for somewhere to get some training as well as a good indoor range to shoot on a regular basis.
I'm looking for a basic handgun class to start and then most likely a concealed carry course vs defensive handgun. (I've shot before, but finally purchased my first gun and want to make sure my basics are solid.)
I'm finding that the courses I've come across so far don't work with my schedule, so I'm looking for either of the following:
1) Recommendations about places offering courses on something other than the one Saturday a month schedule, which seems to be the norm around here, with which people have had good experiences.
2)Recommendations about places/people who might offer individual instruction comparable to group instruction (in terms of content) for reasonable fees.
FWIW I've emailed two places offering courses, with similar inquiries, and gotten no responses, so I thought I'd give this a shot.
Since I work about half an hour from where I live, and I don't mind driving a bit, I figured it was best to post this outside a specific county's forum, to increase my chances of getting a response.
I appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks!

Re: Training
Firemedidoc- I have also been looking for courses in the area, but I have not seen any that offer anything other than the one Saturday a month class. Who have you looked at?

Re: Training
@tmac 5454
I tried google, looked at links from all the local ranges that I could find, and sent a couple of emails without any response.
Kind of frustrating, since a lot of the local ranges say that you have to have proof of some kind of training to even shoot there, so I'd have to travel like 45 minutes to find somewhere I can shoot until I can make a class work with my schedule.
In other states I've been in, almost all of the instructors/training centers were willing to do private instruction for a higher fee, but that doesn't seem to be the case here, which is odd.

Re: Training
I also recommend Mitch10mm's suggestion. and it is not because he has a cool name.
I just recently took a three hour course from Rich and it was great. I am a new shooter and I walked away very satisfied with the training. He is very easy to deal with and very knowledgeable.
