Re: Picking up your LTCF for the first time?
First off, thanks to K.C. for the most excellent pictures - they made it simple to get to the right place!
Figured I'd add some info about the wait. Of course YMMV.
Went down on Tuesday, about 11 am.
Line was outside, an officer that walked by said that "it's like that every day now".
Only 3-5 cards at a time could get printed until the State's computer went down for around 5-10 minutes. The photo license can't be taken and printed unless the connection to the PA system in Harrisburg is up, as it issues the license number printed on the card. Frustrating, but everyone was social, and when someone came out of the inner office (only 3 people allowed in the innermost office with the camera at a time), it was like they won the lottery!
There were probably about 25+ people in line when I arrived, a few left each time the PA system went down. It probably went down 5 times while I was there. All-in-all, it took me an hour to wait in the line with my yellow card and get the completed license. I was probably standing outside for around 10-15 minutes.
So, if it is cold, take a coat, and don't figure that someone can just drive around the block while you pick it up.Last edited by Barnstorm; February 7th, 2013 at 01:25 AM. Reason: Typo

Can I ask how long did it take to get your yellow card in the mail? I have been waiting for about 3 weeks now.
Thanks

Re: Picking up your LTCF for the first time?
I received mine yesterday as well. It was 30 days from when I submitted through e-mail. Looks like I'll be stopping by the Sheriff's office tomorrow morning.

For me it was just they sent my permit to me. No postcards, letters, etc.
