Some theories clearly have merit. To state that some volcano is due to erupt, cover the US in some wildly thick layer of ash, and as a result we will all become slaves is clearly ridiculous. Yes, it's tin foil hat worthy.

Do a little googling. That volcano has a mouth that is 30 miles wide. You not see it because it is under ground and called a Caldera.
