I wouldn't. You are not going to get any love from the staffer that way. And, they might mark you down as a vote in the wrong category.

A twist on this might be asking a neutral question or a question with a subtle invite to exposure.

You got Casey blowing people off and you guys want to go in full-blown anti against Toomey Staffers to try and wear them down and trick them into something? You ever consider that the other side is calling them, too, and wearing them down quite a bit? And maybe they want to hear from people that support them?

I can tell you the responses I got from the Toomey staff were NOT dry. They were enthused to tell me I could count on him. Even after I quickly laid out a no-compromise agenda. I honestly think they were pleased to take my calls.

Keep sending letters... although I think the only letter that he is going to read in person is the one he gets from the NRA... which will be hand delivered to him.

Probably why 2/3rd of the country gave up voting. Kinda hard to tell what a politician really believes in when they talk like a lawyer.

Casey sent me a reply that was about his plans for the upcoming year on all the usual hot topics. Absolutely nothing in it was about firearms. But, we all know he is firmly in the anti-gun corner now after his public annoucement a couple weeks ago.

For what it's worth he makes no mention of any kind of gun control

He also doesn't say he's against gun control, or that he would oppose it. In short, this is a meaningless letter that is intended to be a one-size-fits all response to everyone who contacts him. It tells you exactly nothing about his position on anything ... except that he's against killing elementary school children.
