Up until the last minute, I was set on the $50 Parallex Tactical hand guard because it was THE best quality I could find at that price.
I like the design of the ATLAS and after seeing what that unit costs ON SALE everywhere I looked, I decided it was absurd to not get it for $75 - even if it's a blem. (likely getting painted anyway)
I've hestated in the past with Aero blem sales and they sell out before I commit to clicking "buy". Not this time.

Good choice.

Just built the $99 combat armory upper. Haven't fired it yet. Just a few observations.

The upper receiver and the handguard don't match up very well. Not horrible, just not as good as any of my other rails/uppers.

The forward assist roll pin didnt want to go in. Still not all the way in. There was some metal burr left after machining. I should have reamed the hole out first with a drill bit. The pin reamed the upper hole a bit. It's not having much luck on the bottom half. I'm ordering a new roll pin. Yes, I have proper roll pin punch and roll pin holding punches.

Neither of these are deal breakers at the price. I matched it up with a PSA BCG and JoeBob CH. I got a complete lower off of another member here for $100. Anderson.

I'm in right around $325 including the Bushnell trs25 with riser.

LaRue has some really good prices right now. I really like their MBT trigger. I think I like it better than the Geissele Rapid fire trigger in my one rifle. Not sure if I like it better than the SSA-e. I just bought one of their barrels and handguards from Gunbroker. Really like both.
