I wouldn't worry about prices staying inflated for long. Most of the current buyers are first timers who just want something for defensive reasons. Once all this shit dies down there will probably be a glut of barely used guns on the market.

Agreed.
For the first time in years, I could get what I think my guns are worth if I sold them. No way to know how long that window remains open.
(and not that I WANT to sell any, but life happens, and you never know)

I was caught with low stock of ammo in one caliber, but I'm not freaking out over it. It will just take time for things to settle and I'll get it then.

Yeah, but they'll expect to get the overinflated prices they paid.

I think a lot of them will realize what a pain in the ass it really is to buy a gun and decide to keep what they bought so they don't have to go through it again.
