Although you might think so, for SHTF, I imagine most folks would want to conserve ammo, with semi-auto being a sufficient rate of fire. You can burn through your ammo lickety-split without much to show for it in full auto. I suppose if you were in a squad of some type, you might use it for suppressive fire on occasion, but what are the odds? Even in that situation, you'd have to have a good and easy source for resupply, which in SHTF is going to be a huge problem.
