I tried one of the Combat Armory Black Friday deals on a stripped upper with bcg and barrel. To tell you the truth, I was expecting problems, as they were seemingly bottom of the barrel parts, but mine went together with no trouble, and functioned perfectly. Ran a couple of magazines through it for function test. The bcg was what I was most concerned about, but it looked good, and all 60 rounds went down range as they should.

I just noticed PSA has this bolt carrier as well: https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-...516446953.html
Same thing, but phosphate instead of nitride. Also $49.99

How well is the gas key staked? Lately PSA (Tool craft) cannot seem to get that task done at all. It’s not exactly rocket science especially when they have a jig that does it.

About the same as my PSA bcgs from several years ago. In other words, I have seen a couple of high end carriers that were slightly more aggressively staked, and some others that were worse than the Combat armory. I am not an "operator" by trade, however I would say it is adequate to keep the gas key tight under normal use. I did take it apart, clean and oil it before use, and it looked as good as PSA's offerings.
