At the store I work at, none of it was ever clearanced.
All the posts here about finding stuff marked way down and our store never did.
Since I work in food and consumables (sporting goods is "general merchandise") I don't have any inside scoop and I never bothered asking who I could get info from. After they went full anti, I hated even being near sporting goods.

Our ammo remained on the shelf - pretty well stocked until about a week ago when 90% of it disappeared within a day - with no markdowns.
I can only assume that they shipped it somewhere.

Maybe because our store is slated for a total re-do - all areas are going to be rearranged. Perhaps it was just to get the ammo out of teh way.

Same with my local store. No rollbacks. I checked weekly too.

So I had gone to the North Versailles Walmart and cleared them out of .45 ACP FMJ. What I had noticed is that they weren't marked a weird way (no yellow rollback tags). But when you looked at the pricing it was definitely lower (I paid $7 and $9 per box for .45 brass cased).

I couple of weeks ago when the original WalMart discussion occurred in this thread, my wife just so happened to send me there to snag a couple of things later in the evening. I took a stroll back to sporting goods, which I normally never do. The ammo was pretty much cleaned out except for full power rifle and shotgun. Right as I was about to leave I noticed a couple yellow tags. Low and behold, they were blowing out 60 round boxes of 220gr .300 BLK for $14 a box. I bought all 14 boxes left.

That's a pretty good price. My first AR was a Bushmaster Carbon 15. Bought it in 2012 or 2013. Never had any problems with accuracy. Groups open up a little when it gets warm, but that's it.

Cool. I've been happy with everything I've gotten from them.
The shirts are better quality than I'd expect for the price and with the "Friends and Family" discount code (DTOMUSA) it's hard to complain about free shipping on any size order.
