Another REQUEST:

If anyone knows of a place that sells PISTOL LENGTH AR15 barrels in 7.62x39 let me know.
7" to 10.5" (I saw one that was about 4.5" but not sure that is good or bad - sure would be compact though!)

Not as many places carry them as I thought.
Prefer it to be under $100, but would consider higher for quality barrel.

Just started thinking that I may be able to build an upper the way I want it just as cheaply as buying a complete upper and settling for the way they are selling it.

Crap, you could add a bcg from them and still only be in it for $100. That's almost worth a shot no matter what.

They have several. What I'm finding is that a lot of "no name" or "economy brands" have them and some high end brands, but not much "in teh middle".
Not sure I trust Bear Creek yet, and I am reserving judgement until facts are known about their big bust for having employees with fake IDs.

Centerfiresystems.com has a few for $89, but I know nothing of the business or barrel quality

Classicfirearms.com has a 10.5" for $55

I should just start a thread on building one. Pretty sure that's where I'm headed now.
I haz lowers that need to grow into "something", and I have more than enough 5.56 ARs already...
I'd really prefer it to be as short as possible just for the "FUCK YOU" to the gov aspect of it.

I'll speak up for Faxon barrels, bought one for my AR308. They aren't cheap, but they're far from the most expensive out there, and the one I have shoots great.

I got mine on a closeout deal, and after using it i'd be willing to buy one of their barrels at full price.
