If you're looking for an affordable hand stop and don't want to resort to buying Chinese garbage on Ebay, here's an option that gives a lot of bang for the buck.

I've been poking around and unless I find something better, I'll be getting this. I'm NOT paying $50-$75 for a little hand stop.

Sig Sauer AR-15 Rifle "TREAD" Hand Stop Kit - M-LOK – Black

You get BOTH pieces for $27.40 ($5 flat rate shipping)
Best I could find this on Ebay/Amazon was $34 shipped

    https://skidtactical.com/store/grips...-kit-mlok-blk/

Here's the TREAD accessory page on Sig's home page if you want to compare or look at other options.

I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Magpul MBUS PRO flip up sights = $10 shipped!
total including shipping (delivered in 3 days) Likely if not guaranteed counterfeit. Made of metal, quality actually seems really good surprisingly with detents and everything. I expected plastic. Whether it holds zero during shooting is another story.
For a truck/trunk gun tho? Seems like a damn good deal even if i need to locktite the adjustment knobs.

I’ve never shot an ar pistol before so I was going on feel. Basically when I put them on I did some testing and that was where it was comfortable for me, in part as McSull said because it was easy to pick up and aim.

    About right
At the cost of a shorter site radius and less accuracy especially at range. All moot if you won’t be stretching it’s kegs out.

Red dot that bad boy and you can ditch them all together.

Perhaps eventually. This is a cheap range toy so does not have to be super accurate. But I will probably take your advice for future builds.

What percentage of serious competitive long-distance shooters opt for AR pistols, would you say?

My first AR pistol was an active participant in the only time I ever shot down the overhead wire at an indoor range. Cost me $50 and a lengthy sneer from Jay Bell standing to the side. Immediately after that, I form-1'ed that traitorous scattergun into an SBR.
