yea. part that kills me is that a freedom gun costs about 200 freedom units more than a block gun. keep having a problem with that. might get over it though. if anyone's done one and gotten the total cost of a freedom 17 down to about what a block 17 costs, let me know, and how.

If you get the frame for 70 FU that gives you around 350 FU for the rest of it before you spend what a used block costs. Most block internals are pretty cheap

Here's what I've gotten so far (shipping/tax excluded for now):
70FU for the lower
50FU frame parts kit (genuine block, new)
420FU complete slide/upper (genuine block, new)

so a total of 540FU for a all new block 17 with freedom lower. missing mags, so I'd need to consider that.

think also part of the problem is, with the block 17 gen4 having been released, there's not as many gen3 slide take-offs for sale any longer; people aren't pimping out G3s now that G4s are available to be pimped.

Has anyone here built one of those lowers and actually ran some rounds through it, like more than a thousand rounds?

I have everything to build one as far as parts, but don't these lack the steel guide rails?
That's why I've never tried one.
