Someday in 20 years people will look back and be mesmerized at the 22LR obsession of this era. Massive hordes of bricks of 22LR will be up for sale at estate auctions for pennies on the dollar.

As a former successful smallbore rifle competitor I have never understood the big whoop myself with huge quantities of 22. I'd be more worried about centerfire rifle ammo.

Exactly! My two kids can very easily shoot through 1k rds in under an hour. Plus, 22lr is the only thing I can afford to shoot for a solid hour.
