Good point, & while generally true, I was able to purchase 5.56 for 35 cents per round plus sales tax from my LGS during a special they were running between Thanksgiving & Christmas

No BCG or charging handle, so that's an extra ~$150 on top of the price. Kind of meh IMO.

plus sights - $80 for MBUS set. It's still a good deal for what is offered.

Shipping will be about $22 for the upper. PSA still has $109 BCGs and AIM has their $80 phosphate or $100 Nitride BCGs. You may have to find a charging handle somewhere else though.

Their stocking system sucks. All these uppers for sale, but no barrels.... hmmmm . Might as well remove the PSA barrels from the website.

^^^^This. It is especially annoying that they are "out of stock" on barrels, yet none of the uppers are built until you order them. I am looking for a barrel to finish my latest build and they have none, but they have all of these unbuilt uppers.

There are enough suppliers of quality barrels on the market I wouldn't pay their over inflated parts price.

Pre panic times:
PSA had a super barrel sale. I got one for $135. It looked wierd. The phosphate had a metallic flake in it. The barrel extension wouldn't fit in the upper. Removed a bit of material from the upper and it barely could get forced in. Then the pin on the extension sheared off. Long story short, they sent a new one that looked way way better, but now the upper caused wobble with the barrel bc I removed material and the new barrel was in spec. Oh well. Haven't seen them have barrels in stock since and that was June of 2012.
