So far, I'm actually not impressed. With the PTAC stuff they just started carrying, it allows them to off load that cheaper and keep their other uppers at "normal" daily and weekend special prices. The upper with the Aimpoint is actually more expensive than the one I bought a few months ago and that was was a mid-length.

BE ADVISED: this is only day 1 of these sales. I bet they will get better, so don't blow your money now. If you miss it, you miss it. Just don't kick yourself for dropping the coin and the next day something better comes out.

If you're someone wanting to get into the AR game, you could buy that $374 Rifle kit and the $49 Anderson lower and have a sub $500 AR. Quality on the PTAC and BlackHawk stuff is probably meh, but those Anderson lowers are decent. I paid $89 +tax for mine during the panic from a LGS.

If I had the extra cash I would definetly scoop up the $189 upper just for the hell of it.

Decent prices on Ammo, That Geco .223 was hovering around $20 on their site previously. The Federal 420rd can is less than Wal Mart was selling it for before the price increase from Federal ($179)

Keep your eye on PSA, LA Police Gear, and Optics Planet. I'd be willing to be this week, one of those websites will have one for $350 or less. Also Mounting Solutions Plus has had nice sales on them in the past.
