I just caved and got one. Classic is not my favorite, but not a dealbreaker either.

It's just a visual thing for me for the most part - I think the 30 rd mags look odd.
From a practical standpoint, they claim the 28 rd mags fit in 5.56 USGI mag pouches.

This place has them on sale. Not a lot of places carry the 28 rd mags and it's rare to see them on sale.

reg $18.95 on sale for $16.95

Backordered now, but North River is a distributor and will have them again.

I have a bunch of those I have been using for over 20 years. They are the ones Cabelas used for bulk ammo a long time ago, before they went to the thinner ones they use now. Some of my seals were going bad, and I contacted the company and they sent me several for free. The stack nicely and are about the limit on weight I can handle without a problem when full or nearly so.

If it doesn't say "waterproof" or "air tight" - it ain't.

Most "fake cans" say "water resistant". No thanks.

    Water ALWAYS runs downhill.

Basements are downhill from all the water sources in your house and most of the water sources outside your house.

    Murphy ALWAYS wins eventually.

Ergo, proper planning involves waterproofing the crap in one's basement .

Yinz can get away with cardboard boxes for years if you are lucky, but eventually... it's gonna get wet.

Freezer bags inside the cans help with any leaking seals.
