Re: Share Deals on Guns Ammo Accessories Here
Yeah I know, another sub $400 ar. But seriously... We are living in the times of the the sub 400 ar. This is to be celebrated imo.
This one is $375 after a $150 rebate.
From Slickguns

DPMS
DPMS AP4
They are apparently offering $150 rebates until August.
Are these any good?
BTW... The rebate information.

Hmmmm... Let's see...
I could buy a Hi-Point carbine for $300...
or a DPMS AR15 for $375...
There's almost no reason any American can not afford an AR15 at the moment.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Share Deals on Guns Ammo Accessories Here
Not on arfcom (LOL), but for the rest of the world, I can't see why not.
All these "$400" rifles have been on the market for years and years. The only difference is that they USED to be $600+ rifles.
There have always been "entry level" rifles and there always will be - but I don't see these prices remaining the norm.
I'd have given my left nut to be able to buy a complete AR15 for $375 back in 2007 or so when I BUILT mine because I couldn't afford to buy a complete rifle. All I wanted was a basic AR15 like the one above - if that's all you want, then there has never been a better time to get one.
If you want "better" parts, or specific aftermarket upgrades, then you won't be getting an AR for $400. It all depends on what one wants.
The rifles I've put together over the last few years have run me around $700 after sourcing used parts or getting sale prices for parts.
Once you start getting choosy about what you want, you spend more.
A name brand AR15 that costs less than a 9mm Glock. These are good times indeed.
EDIT TO ADD:
Also consider that MOST of these sub-$400 rifles are flat tops and either include only a basic A2 front sight, or have no sights whatsoever.
This rifle is complete. If you were to buy a carry handle to add to a flat top, you would pay $30 for a Chinese copy or $100+ for a quality (new) carry handle.
If you look at it that way, this is coming closer to a $300 rifle as compared to most others in this class that come with no rear sight.
If it comes with a magazine, there's another $10 value.Last edited by Emptymag; May 21st, 2017 at 08:01 PM.

Re: Share Deals on Guns Ammo Accessories Here
Bingo.
I look at it like this... every one of 'em will be accurate within the abilities of the sights already on them. Even if you stick a red dot or up to like a 4x optic on them, they'll still shoot better than 95% of what people would use them for. they're minute of bad guy rifles at 100yds all day long.
too bad I don't need any more.
