What makes it low end?

I wouldn't think S&W, Ruger, or Anderson would be any different, but I don't know. That's why I ask.

They aren't much different, all of these fall into the lower end, not sure how the Ruger stacks up against these but I've read about some issues they have, that's why your seeing them sell at the low price point.

You can put together a really solid AR in todays market for about 700.00 using known quality barrels and bolt carrier groups.

Lower/upper doesn't matter what's stamped on it as long as it's in spec. The barrel and BCG are the two most important pieces.

Friends don't let friends buy Del-Ton's!

$350 sounds like a good deal. Are you saying that this Del-Ton would be a bad starter AR? I wouldn't mind getting one for my 17-year-old. But if it's going to have issues before 1000 rounds go through it, then maybe not.

And considering the many no-name or unknowns that are out there, I would be all over that Del-Ton if I didn't already have several ARs.

Del-Ton has been around for quite a while, so if there were specific issues with them, someone would certainly be able to point to those issues by now.

I'd buy a Del-Ton before I'd ever consider something like ATI (American Tactical Imports) whether in polymer or "standard" configuration.

I have assembled numerous AR's.... and I would put Del-Ton pretty high on the bang for your buck list. I would rock a Delton before a PSA AR on any day of the week and twice on sunday.

I have a few PSA/Anderson builds and the only thing they are used for is to train "friends" on how to paint and strip paint from AR's or how to quickly strip and fix AR's and they are used for other things like how to throw an AR, how to use an AR in a hand to hand situation, how to break windows with an AR, use an AR as a bong, ext,ext.
