Keep checking the walmarts people. I was able to snag 100 round pack of federal .223 the other day at $.35 a round not bad for this day and age. I also grabbed up 1000 rounds of .22lr today for around $.04 a round. In both cases, it was all they had but it does trickle in. The .223 was a nice fluke so I grabbed it. I'm desperate for .22lr though. been buying everthing I can find up to $.08 a round but I refuse to pay more than that. I'm stocked up on most everything else.

If anyone is on the fence about their re-manufactured ammunition, they are the guys who fled USAAmmo in protest and formed their own company. I run their .380 through my LCP and it is good ammo. So don't confuse them (FreedomMunitions) with the guys who sell ammo that blows up guns (USAAmmo).

In my last dozen stops at Walmart, only once did I leave with no ammo.

And believe it or not, I didn't even take all 3 boxes I was allowed to get each time either.
I've left 100rnd packs of Federal 9mm on the shelf for $22 and only took one.

I have been grabbing the .22 if they have it simply because I'm going to start my girls shooting this spring and once they get to the AR .22's it's going to go fast I think.

So if you're in the Indiana Walmart and there's ammo, you're welcome.

It seems to be a matter of being in the right place at the right time, unfortunately. My friend bought one of the 100 rd packs of 223 at the Exeter wal mart a few weeks ago. He paid the 35 cents a round as well. The guy there told him they get ammo shipments every other Saturday. I haven't been to that wal mart, but some others I know that go there haven't had any luck.

To add to the 22LR, just got back from Shydas in Lebanon. Buckets of 1400 for $79 and boxes of 325 for $22. get there quick! They always seem a surprise there as you never know what they will have, but I never walk away empty handed.

They also have plenty of 380, ammo cans of tracer (not sure of caliber), lots of that black gun stuff. They always have something, lite on 9mm though.

Oh, and a lot of those magazines for the black guns. I know I am no help as I don't have any of them. Today they had some for $15 with no limit. I would take a look if you are in the area.

5.56 M196 tracer now up to $0.71/round. I really don't think that's horrible in today's climate.
