Re: quick access to guns in your home
One on me. I have a wall clock that opens up. I keep two Guns in there. An AR behind the sofa. Out of site out of mind. When we are out the Dogs are on duty. If going away for vacation all the guns get locked up in my safe room.
Aggies Coach Really ??? Take off the tin foil bro.

Re: quick access to guns in your home
This reminds me of a friend from my fraternity when I was in college. Except instead of guns it was condoms. In his room you were never beyond arm's reach of one. We didn't believe him one night and started naming random locations in his room where things could get intimate ("on your couch", "next to your tv" etc) and he would go there and pull a rubber out of hiding.

Always on me when awake, on the nightstand while asleep. Others are around the house... Never more than 10 or 15 feet from one PLUS the one on me.

Re: quick access to guns in your home
Many here have described keep on their nightstand while sleeping. Don't know about the rest of you, but I've slept through everything from earthquakes to the fire department responding to a neighbor's house.
If someone got it my house, the last thing I would want is a loaded firearm waiting to be found right next to my dead-to-world head. Mine is in a safe but within easy reach should I manage wake-up and need it!

Re: quick access to guns in your home
I am wearing a gun if I am wearing clothes. I have a shotgun out of plain sight but worry more about the rifle.

Re: quick access to guns in your home
On my hip by day and nighttable at night. There is also a loaded gun in my closet on top shelf for when I am at work.
I have two daughters, 13 and 9 years old, who know where they are just in case. My wife is pregnant and when the baby becomes a todler the situation will be adjusted untill he or she learns the rules. Some people just plain suck.
If you're gonna be dumb ya gotta be tough.
