Sight Picture, How do YOU aim??

You mean those little dot things meant something. I've always used the "shoot from the hip" or "hold the gun sideways" method, and i haven't missed a shot yet.




Seriously though, I prefer #2, but my BUG is a Sig p238, and it took me entirely too long to realize I had to use #3 to stop shooting low.

Number 2 sight picture for me. A few months ago I bought a sig pro 2022 adjusted for #3 sight picture. It had on a #8 front sight and #8 rear sight. I replaced rear sight with a #10, which raised point of impact 4 inches at 25 yards.

With my 1911 im a #3 and with my sig im a #2. Weird, i never thought about it until someone asked.

#2 with my handguns, #3 with a scope or rifle with iron sights.

Number three for me. I never took any beginer classes and was never instructed by the guy who taught me to shoot. He just said line up the sights and pull the trigger. I just did what came natural.

I also have never given it any thought before today.
