Lindsey Graham is on our side (owns an AR)....email him and say thank you
On Foxnews Live this morning, he said that he owns an AR and that no new laws will help. I suddenly really like this guy!
GRAHAM: We'll, we had the assault weapons ban from 1994 to 2004 and the conclusion was, it did not change crime by banning assault weapons in an appreciable way, and last year with the lowest murder rate in the history of the United States, people buying more guns, murder rates have gone down -- you are talking about preventing mass murder by a mentally unstable persons. You can't take every sharp object out of the reach of people like this.
I own an AR-15 and I have done nothing wrong by owning the gun. If you had armed security, with better rules of engagement, that, to me, is a better way to deal with the situation.
And the best way is to identify these people before they act and do something about it.
So, I think the assault weapons ban didn't work then. It's not going to work now, and I will oppose it.

"To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic." -- Ted Nugent

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."

Incorrect. Anyone on our side is our ally at best, and not our enemy, at worst. Some of them may also be our friends. Our friends work to strengthen our right. Our allies work to keep them from being weakened. The "not our enemy" just realize the political realities. Our enemies propose AWB's and mag capacity limitations.

Thats how I feel. I'm an independent that doesn't really like the GOP but when it comes to this subject I have to side with them since they actually generally support the 2A.
I figured when I voted for Obama he would be too busy defending his healthcare bill and focusing on other things that gun control would be on the back burner. He has repeatedly ignored the subject until the media has spent the last few weeks craming it all down our throats. Now he HAS to do something just to appease people and I'll try to be as much of an obsticale as I can be to prevent him.

Long time ago someone came to President Roosevelt about a ban on Saccharin.
"Wiley argued that saccharin, as a coal-tar derivative, couldn’t possibly be fit for human consumption—though at this point the scientific evidence remained inconclusive. A factory owner responded that using saccharin instead of sugar saved him thousands of dollars. Roosevelt settled the dispute: “Anyone who says saccharin is injurious to health is an idiot. Dr. Rixey gives it to me every day.” The president’s personal experience decided the case."

Maybe Senator Graham's personal experience makes sense to him? We'll have to see. Senator Graham is kind of wishy washy on a lot of issues. He seems to be more into being Senator than in doing the right thing sometimes.

While it is scary to have to depend on that rino twinky, we need ALL the help we can get.
This is gunna be a big fight, not just for ourselves but for the next generation.
I dont want to be the generation that gave up our freedom so the next generation is more completely enslaved.
Our forefathers left us our 2nd amend rights and we have a DUTY to preserve it and pass it on.
