NOTE: north bound at exit 40 at is once again operational; along with the new south bound exit ramp off 79 at exit 40 can now be used.

the construction project has not been fully completed on 79 for the interchange at exit 40, but the exit ramps are useable

Went pass the last weekend in 2012 the new south bound ramp of 79 at Exit 40 was not operational then.

It appears to be almost ready, waiting for what? nice weather to complete, new red light off manifold road to be finished or _ _ _ _ _ _ fill in the blank

the new north bound re-entry ramp on to 79 at Exit 40 was not operational either, so keep the detour in mind IF both are not useable

Wish PennDot would lengthening the entry merge ramp at 70 and route 19 by ACE's sporting goods & washington mall, you almost need a sports car to merge into traffic if you get delayed by car in front of you

I plan on going. However, I'm anticipating AR/AK/AMMO vendors sticking it to buyers a lot more than usual because of what's going on.

That's of course they even have any inventory to sell.

Precisely why I plan on NOT going to this or other gun shows for a while, except maybe for the one in Indiana at the S&T Arena on 26-27 Jan.

I'm good for arms and ammo and don't NEED anything except the usual parts, bits, and pieces but I'm not going to try to navigate bad weather and packed full show aisles just to see merch marked up with hyperinflated prices.

Checked out the off ramp tonight. I work in south hills and live in Washington so I pass it.

The offramp from 79s for exit 40 is open. They are still waiting to get the traffic lights going but there is a temp. stop sign at the bottom of ramp.

I took the exit, stopped at end of ramp then went to the right towards the fairgrounds. Turned around after a bit and got back on 79s from exit 40 as well.

Not sure when they will be doing the traffic lights and "finalizing" everything.
