nikon p223?
Does anyone have a Nikon P223 on their M4? I like the price point, just curious as to the results if you have one.

Re: nikon p223?
Been fingering one in a local shop and like what I see so far: good optical quality, turrets, reasonably durable, good price. Only thing I'd change on it is the reticle, would prefer mil dots or a grid rather than BDC.

Re: nikon p223?
FYI,
If you have a fixed front sight on your AR, you'll still see a shadow of your front sight at 3X. Even at 4X there is still a shadow. Of course, if the shadow doesn't bother you then you're good to go.
BTW, I considered buying this scope because of it's size (among it's other features). It's a nice scope for that price point.Last edited by Hawk; December 29th, 2012 at 11:23 AM.

Re: nikon p223?
Bought one, as well as the P mount for myself for Christmas. I haven't mounted it yet as it is for a "build in progress''.

Re: nikon p223?
i recently purchased the 1-4x20. It has a "point blank reticle", whatever that means. I wanted something other than an eotech that was good at close range out to about 300 yds. This magnification was right up my ally and at a great price point. It keeps zero no matter what i put it through and seems to be of great quality. I am not very knowledgable on optics but as far as this little scope goes, it has my vote.
P.S. as far as optics planet goes, if you dont like what they ship you, you can simply send it back (as long as you dont mount it!). Wonderful customer service.

Re: nikon p223?
I have one on my Stag model 3G.
I could ask for a better optic at the price point.
Nikon makes amazing quality optics...the glass is crystal clear. Having it be specific to the .223 ballistics is also a plus! You cant go wrong.
Only thing to keep in mind is that it sits low...so you need to buy extra high 1" mounts or else you might have trouble with the eye relief positioning.

Re: nikon p223?
I bought one and mounted it on my AR with an American Defense quick detach mount. I only put 40 rounds through it, but it help up very nice. Optics are good, we will see if she survives in the long run
