Default Melonite and Kydex - Finish Wear

I just assembled two Old Faithful holsters, the Crossbreed style IWB Kydex. They fit great and I wore my Nano the past few days and it rode great.

I set up my XDM one tonight and drawing and holstering I noticed some small scratches on the slide. Since the gun s like new and been out to the range twice I don't think the scratches were there before. I'm not worried about the scratches, but I thought the retention was good and I'm concerned about wearing the finish down or off wearing the holster to break it in. Any ideas?

Holster wear on a gun is sexy and appealing. You'll learn to like it the more you see it.

The more you see it the better with your gun you should be.

I would think that since melonite is harder then kydex, scratch comes from elsewhere?

On the side note, as Ducayi said, some wear on gun makes it very appearing.
Here is few sexy well worn MEU1911's...

Oh the story they could tell...

You pay for that "excellent detention" with scratches.

Personally i hate Kydex, i only have one and its for my CW9 , nothing to scratch there.

If you have a Gun that you really like Dont carry it in Kydex.
