I took it out the day after I got it to make sure it "worked".

After shooting for a bit to make sure it functioned properly, I set up a makeshift "rest", and fired it at a clean target just get a better feel for where it was hitting.

For those interested, I measured it (with a tape measure) at 45 feet.
I didn't have time to go to the other part of the range for longer shots.

Looks like it hit about 2" to the right of where I was aiming. (11 rounds fired)

I'll try and pay closer attention next time, but I don't recall the stock being bothersome.

    It works. I'm happy.

There was a little over $200 in that can.

Looks like I'll need about ten more cans of change if I want to buy another one.

The M70 was one of the latest versions of the Yugo AK, right? Did they go to chrome lined barrels at that point?

I don't beleive any of the Yugos have chrome lining including the newest version from Serbia the PAP. My Yugos are CIA mix masters with the US non chromed lined barrel. Only have shot wolf and golden tiger but never had any problems with corrosion or rust. I only really shoot one of the folders and it's being driven plenty hard and thrown into the safe wet. Never shot any corrosive but if I did then I would worry about giving it and the barrel a good cleaning.

I heard conflicting reports. Some said the later Yugo's had Chrome others stated they never did. I remember reading even an in depth post on post WWII Yugo firearms and even the mineral content of the Earth under Yugoslavia. It stated that they had Chromium but for some reason never used it in their firearms. I wish I saved the link as this was 6 months ago...

I've always read no chrome at least for the aks and the sks. That's why most of the ak kits that came in had barrels that were sewer pipes.

No chrome on any yugo 7.62 aks ... They only used chrome-lined on their 5.56 aks
