    Default Ruger MKII or MKIII

Need Advice, looking to buy new MKIII hunter for $445.00 or used MKII hunter. Both are stainless. Owner of MKII is asking for offeron price. What is good price?

Take the Mark II. Much easier to strip and no mag safety. Somewhere around $300 if stainless and the slab-sided barrel. Will eat any 0.22 ammo (my two will even feed the occasional fired case). Dave_n

I'd ditch my MkIII for MkII in heartbeat.

MUCH easier to reassemble to MkIII
MkIII's grip mounted mag release is nice. But since its meant mostly for range use, heel mag release of MkII is a hardly a concern for me

I love my Mark II (two)
It is the 'Competition Target Model', heavy stainless slab sided barrel. For reference I paid $325 out-the-door for it in a retail shop 2 years ago, no regrets.

like this one ? This one was NIB off of GB last year.

I own two MKII's..this one and a govt target model..also own a MKIII hunter.

the only advantage the MKIII has over the MKII is the magazine release...the mag disconnect sucks, and I frankly cant stand the loaded chamber indicator on the MKIIIs.

Go MKII. Too many issues with the MKIII.

Have a MKII , about 20 years old, thousands upon thousands thru that little gun ,

bought my daughter a MKIII for college graduation , I like the look of the MKIII, but not the function ..

would rather have the MKII old as it is , over the new MKIII , regardless of price..
