New rock island and new hide its cost lol

Well yesterday I finally bought a rock in 9mm 1911a1 model. Got home and had a lot of things to do so it was after 10 that i had the chance to strip it down inspect and lube it up.

While doing so i was thinking ,how am I gonna explain this one to the woman? Then to my bad luck or good luck i guess she walks in and sees a pistol in a pile of parts on the kitchen table...

Why did u buy that and how much was it?!?! Well I got a deal on it %30 off because it had to be put together. She said oh in that case put it together so i can see it lol , I couldn't beleive that worked.

After it was back in one peice and oiled up I must say i know why so many pepole i see on here post that 1911s are magical, theres nothing prettier than a well oiled one that is yours, and yes i beleive in magic now lol.

Maybe over my weekend I'll get a chance to go shoot but I just wanted to share the events, oh nd I got a free holster with it too plus a box of 115 fmj.

Best Christmas ever, and shes still a bit mad but I'm betting her necklace and earrings will take that away (besides they cost more than my rock did lol)

May i make a suggestion to those of you who are young and married, to prevent bending the truth, or outright lying to your spouse about purchases that you make, i suggest that both of you contribute to a joint household account to cover the daily and monthly living expense, then each of you get your own personal account with which to make purchases that are accountable to no one but you.

This works and prevents the " why did you buy that without talking to me first " question.

You can justify any purchase to a female by saying it cost a certain percentage off. So that $2000 LV purse made with faux leather marked down to $1400 is an amazing deal in their minds (even though it cost $100 in materials and labor).

It ran through 100 ppu 115gr no issue 50 each win 124gr speer lawman 147gr and 200 of my dads reloads a box of 147gr gold dots and 25 rounds of hornady critical defence all no problems, needless to say I'm very pleased with it and she likes it too compared to my 9mak and tokerov (mak kicked a good bit but was small p-64 and the tok just barks too much for her or the giant muzzle flash lol)

Years ago now, I had this same problem with my first wife so I traded her in for a newer model. Now the only problem I have is my wife burns through too much of my .40 S&W ammo shooting her H&K P2000SK!
