PICS System overload

Met another member for a transfer on Saturday and it took just over 3hrs to get it processed. System was a solid busy signal the whole time! Worst I've ever experienced so far!

Yup. 2 days ago I met to transfer a handgun at 5:30pm and it took the shop owner 1 hour 45 minutes to get through - non-stop redialing.

I was happy I got it done, as it was a 45 minute drive just to get there.

I went to pick up my daughters christmas gift on Thursday and could not get through. I had to go back on Friday he tried all day and just got through shortly before I arrived at the shop.

I have been hearing about pics problems all week. I think the season and the possible bans are keeping the system busy and will for weeks to come.

That would be a good way to get people work, hire some as opperators to get the calls through.

Went yesterday to local store @ 2pm and there was a 2-3 hr wait. Went back today @ opening and took 30min to get approval. I also scored on a 10%discount for saying I was there yesterday but the wait was to long.

I went for my LTC today at the Reading Airport and was told they would mail it to me. I didnt ask why, but i figured PICS was backed up. And this was at like 4:30
