IS PICS down?

My son has been trying to purchase a firearm since Saturday morning. Store keeps telling him they are getting a busy signal and only get through to the PICS automated system very few times. They told this to all the people trying to purchase while my son was trying to purchase his. Anybody else having this problem?

it's the weekend in my opinion the worst time to buy a Firearm this is pretty normal from my understanding I always wait mid week and go around 2 to 4pm in and out in 5min most of the time for me

My kitchen table FFL had be wait for 30 minutes. Still two hours later and he hasn't got through. I think it's down.

I just got in from gun shopping with my brother and yes PICS is having issues. A man ahead of us got through after a forty minute wait only to be denied. The sales clerk told us after he left he did have an active military I.D., I don't know whats goin on there but my brother could not purchase the shotgun he wanted because PICS is a constant busy signal.

He had to put it on layaway. The sales clerk said he would continue to try and call him later if he gets through otherwise he'll have to go back tomorrow and re fill out the paperwork.

Update: Son went back this afternoon and PIC check went through. He told me the store was packed and AR-15's, Tactical shotgun's, etc. were flying off the shelf. Guess people are afraid there's a ban coming.

No way the government would try and prevent us from legally buying guns. This can't be.

Is anyone still having problems getting the check run? Was looking around at Dick's yesterday, they made several attempts without success to get through to PICS to run a check for a guy trying to buy a rifle, said they've been having problems for the last several days. Thinking about going to the York show Saturday, but probably won't bother if PICS is still having "issues".

it took over an hour for them to get thru on my transfer tonight at Quinby's in Dublin. They just kept hitting redial till they got thru, don't think it was down just high volume...........
