Default Irritated with Pachmayr American Legend 1911 grips.

So, range time today, we were working the handguns over, everything working beautifully. In fact, the whole event was perfect. At some point, however, the little medallion screwed into the safety side of the grip fell off. As nice as they look, and as good as they feel, I'm rather disappointed. I wonder, does anyone know if that company would send me new medallions and screws, or am I SOL?

Call them and ask. You might be surprised.

I had the same problem,I found screws at a local hobby shop. Rc car hard ware. If you don't have any luck let me know, I'll send you some extras.

I submitted a customer support ticket, being it's the weekend and all. I'll see if I hear back from them sometime this week.

I always have 1911 grip screws work loose without loctite...or nail polish.

My grip screws that secure the grips to the frame never came loose. I never gave a second thought to the screws holding the little Pachmayr inserts, but, I will from now on. The company has responded to my customer support ticket, and looks to be sending me a replacement insert. When it arrives, they'll both be secured using loctite.

Mine did the same thing. I called the company and I nicely asked if I could order a new set of little emblems and hex screws because mine fell out at the range due to repeated recoil. The lady said, "Why don't you just give me your address and I'll send you a replacement set?"

They were very friendly and my new free parts arrived in just a few days.

I wasn't supposed to get this in the mail until after Christmas according to the tracking they sent me. It showed up in the mail today. Both sides are securely mounted, and I'm a happy camper. I like good customer service. I know it might seem like something little and stupid, but they handled it like I was their only customer. Very pleasant customer service experience.
