    Default Which Glock

Thinking of adding another Glock to the collection - currently I have a 23c and a 39. Which do you think is a better deal ( gun is for target, carry sometime ) both are police trade ins :

    1. Glock 19 in very good to excellent condition. Dim night sights. $379

    2. Glock 21 in excellent condition. Standard sights. Slide and barrel
    refinished with nibx professionaly. $445

9mm or 45acp - no real preference, have several of both caliber. I am leaning toward the 21 ???

Given condition and such,, the 21 if it fits your hands.

I found both triggers to be terrible to me so the triggers are on a scale to me.. The Glock was a crisper suck and the XD was a more mushy suck. They are in the same family, SR9 (heavy suck), Glock (crisp heavy suck), XD( lighter mushy suck), M&P(heavy mushy suck).

The only reasonable choice here is to buy both lol. After 15 1911's and hating glocks for years, i finally drank the glock cool aid and got a 19. Perfect balance of size and accuracy. I love it, still no 1911 lol, but now i really really want a 21SF.

I traded my 21SF for a 19, as the 19 is a bit more flexible. If you have any intention on carrying go with the 19. If you want a sweet shooter for winter carry only or HD go 21.

I'll get another 21 at some point, I absolutely loved that gun

Yeah, I checked out a 21 at the gunshow to be sure it wasn't too much of a beast! Large, but manageable. I like the Nibx finish too. I've got too many "wants", but not sure how much longer I can hold off on the price And yes, my thinking exactly, get both - we will see!

Since you showed interest in the .50gi in another thread, a .50gi slide assembly is available for the G21 frame.

Get a 30. (Unless you're stuck on those two) Just about the same size as a 19 and with that .45 caliber goodness. It would be a lot easier to carry than a 21 as well.

The 21, mainly for the caliber, though. Not saying it is a better caliber, just that I prefer it over the nine. I sure as heck ain't wantin to be the one to start a caliber debate. Without further digressing, I owned a pair of G21's (Gen 3 non SF) and never could get intimate with them. I loved the stock sights once I got rid of the white sh.. on them, but just couldn't deal with the rest of it. I didn't get 1000 rds shot between the two before I through in the towel. I was fortunate in that I only lost $100 total for the two, and have 1911's in their place. If someone told me I had to choose between the two (19 & 21) in order to have a target/carry occasionally gun, I'd take the G21. I'd take a budget 1911 with a tuned trigger over the G21 for target/occasional carry 10 out of 10 times.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.
