Wait time for police check card in Lower Merion?

I was just wondering how long people have waited to hear back from the police after handing in their check card for their LTCF in Lower Merion? It's only been a little over a week for me but I was curious to hear how long other people waited. Did you have to call them to find out the status?

It is a form that only Montgomery County "requires" ( ) an applicant to take to their local PD for them to fill out before applying for a LTCF.

Yes, I did know that but I was trying to play 'by their rules' just to avoid the 45 day wait time. I was not aware that they would be charging me $25 for the check card, either, so that was a nice surprise.

Anyway, if anyone has recently gotten the check card done in LM I'd be curious to hear how long it took them to hear back from the LMPD.

I don't really understand why there would be a $25 charge either. And I'm not really sure why the check would take very long, don't they just run your name through the PICS system and possibly check their local records?

Montco gets away with this nonsense as part of the investigation. It's totally absurd that the PD charges $25 for this

The problem is that the sheriffs are not really accountable to anyone (except the voters) and can get away with stuff like this.

Other counties run you thru PICS and if you pass, you get your license. Philly does some extra stuff though too, but that's because they are special
