Default I didnt carry to the dentist

I went to the dentist today to spend a shit-ton of money, so I decided to take my gun from the holster, and stow it in my truck while I was inside. I didnt do that because they disallow guns, I just didnt feel like laying in that chair with a sidearm while they drilled my head full of holes.
While sitting in the office at the beginning of the visit, a worker comes in doing whatever, and says "whats in your pocket?"
I start patting my pockets and said "what do you mean?"
She points to my empty holster and says "that thing"
I said "its a holster for my gun"
She says "oh my, a gun, thats scary, noooo, dont have a gun, thats dangerous"

I just stared at the side of her head. It annoyed the shit out of me.

Then while having the dental work done, I have a habit of checking the retention strap, and the lady says" what are you doing?"
    I said "apparently fiddling around"
She said it in such a way that she may have thought I had an invisible gun in the holster.

I dont like leaving my gun in the truck, so I got up to look out the window to make sure my truck was good. Im paranoid like that. She asked what I was doing and I told her my gun was in my truck, and its safer in my holster than out there.
Hindsight, I should have just left it at home, or kept it in the holster, and seen what they would have said, but then again, I need this stupid root canal and didnt want an issue.
I thought it was funny that she was afraid of a holster. Its just a piece of leather. The other woman who was there didnt care either way.

Never trust a woman who's afraid of leather!

I actually conceal at the dentist. I don't know if they would care but they can hurt me and pretend they don't mean it

I went last Tuesday for a temporary cap. Concealed my LC9 (it's so easy). Went through the whole procedure & nobody was any the wiser. I love all my guns....for the same & different reasons.

I left mine in the car as well when I went to the dentist recently. Did not want it digging into my hip as I was laying in the chair.

Ever wonder why hygienists/ dentists want to have full on conversations with you when your mouth is held wide open and teeth getting cleaned? The comedy skit "Bill Cosby Himself" when he talks about his trip to the dentist comes to mind...

I am also proud to say I have never had a cavity!

Only concern I'd have about carrying at the dentist is if I was going to be put to sleep or on any drugs (local anesthetic). I would feel very uncomfortable being put to sleep or on drugs where I would not be in the right mind while armed. Or even worse, put to sleep or on drugs while someone else would potentially have access to my firearm. In the scheme of things, carrying in the dentist office (unless you live in the hood) is pretty unnecessary, and as mentioned above, irresponsible if you're going to be put on drugs.

That said, my dentist rubs her boobs on my open mouth very very often as well. And she wears nice perfume.
